Spanish referee Jesús Gil Manzano will take charge of the Nations League match between France and Italy this Friday. Guillermo Cuadra Fernandez has been assigned as the VAR official.

The game is scheduled to kick off at the Stade de France Saint-Denis in Paris on Friday at 19:45 UK time (20:45 CEST).

Italy, known as the Azzurri, faces a challenge in Group A. They are currently behind leaders France after an initial 2-0 home loss to Belgium, though they secured a 4-1 away victory against Turkiye.

France leads the group with a perfect record, having won both their matches 1-0 against Turkiye and Belgium.

UEFA has appointed an all-Spanish officiating team for this encounter. Jesús Gil Manzano will be the lead referee, assisted by Guadalupe Porras Ayuso and Raul Cabanero. Juan Martinez Munuera will be the fourth official.

Guillermo Cuadra Fernandez will oversee the Video Assistant Referee duties, with Valentin Gomez assisting him.

Gil Manzano, 42, has previously refereed Italy twice at the senior international level. These included a 1-0 win against England in the 2022 Nations League and a 0-0 draw with Ukraine in a European Championship qualifier in November 2023.

His record with matches involving France includes three wins and one 2-0 friendly defeat to Germany in March 2024.
