PSG Ultras Group Parias Cohortis Permanently Banned from Parc des Princes
The PSG ultras group Parias Cohortis, affiliated with the Collectif Ultras Paris (CUP), is now permanently barred from the Parc des Princes' Auteuil stand. This group of 80 individuals will also no longer be permitted to attend the club's away games.
This decision follows a temporary exclusion from the previous season after a violent clash between Paris supporters during an away trip to Angers in April. To regain access to the Auteuil stand and the CUP, Parias Cohortis was required to meet specific conditions, including expelling violent members and altering their position within the Auteuil stand.
Refusal to Remove 'Vocal' Members
However, the group did not remove its most 'vocal' supporters, according to a source close to the matter. Consequently, PSG has prohibited them from entering the Auteuil stand and from participating in away travel. This final decision was made after further discussions and a reassessment of the situation this summer.
The club, which does not "tolerate" any violence, "acknowledged that they did not meet the essential condition that was set within a specific timeframe," the source stated.
In April, a fight erupted between two CUP factions at a rest stop on the A11 highway near La Ferté-Bernard, Sarthe, prior to PSG's Ligue 1 match in Angers. This incident, witnessed by AFP, involved a supporter bus being pelted with stones, resulting in broken windows and doors. Approximately forty supporters were seen walking along the A11 highway towards the rest stop. Following this altercation, several hundred CUP supporters traveling to Angers turned back.
