Jhon Lucumi Nears Juventus Move as Bologna's Valuation is Raised to €20m Plus Bonuses
Reports indicate that Jhon Lucumi has already reached personal terms with Juventus, and the Turin club is now prepared to offer Bologna €20 million, plus performance-related bonuses, for the Colombian international.
Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has corroborated these claims, stating that Lucumi has placed Juventus at the forefront of his desired destinations and has agreed upon the terms of a potential contract.
Lucumi's Preference: Only Juventus
The deal is rumored to be a five-year contract, potentially earning Lucumi €2.5 million per season with additional incentives. This is despite a potentially more lucrative offer from Nottingham Forest, which could provide around €1 million more in net annual salary.
The primary hurdle in this transfer has not been Lucumi's desire to join Juventus, but rather the two clubs' ability to agree on a transfer fee. This remains the unresolved core issue.
Although Lucumi's previous release clause of €28 million has expired and his contract with Bologna runs until June 2027, Bologna is holding firm, unwilling to sanction a move for less than €25 million.
Recent information suggests that Juventus has recognized the difficulty of including player swaps in the deal and is now prepared to submit a direct offer of €20 million, supplemented by easily achievable add-ons.
